My name is Randy Németh and I have been a full-time classroom teacher since 2004. Before moving to the Sierra Foothills in 2008, I lived in the Bay Area for 18 years, where I began my teaching career. I have taught 4th grade since 2005. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Music from San Francisco State University and a Multiple Subject teaching credential from Cal State Hayward.
As a teacher at Ophir, I strive to create a consistently safe and welcoming classroom environment where all students have the opportunity to learn in a variety of ways. I want our classroom to be a place where kids feel comfortable making mistakes and discovering solutions. I work hard to try and make learning fun and memorable for my students. I bear witness every day to the fact that making an honest connection with a child, cultivating curiosity and encouraging wonder are the most effective ways to plant the seeds for kids to become lifelong learners.
